2017 Annual CDBG-HOME Application for Proposed Funding
5-26-17 to 6-9-17

The City of Gulfport is preparing for its 2017 Community Development Block Grant and HOME Program Annual Action Plan and Funding Allocation. As an Entitlement City it receives a direct funding allocation from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. Actual funding is not known at this time, but plans will be based on prior year funding allocations of approximately $581,068 in CDBG funding and $306,931 in HOME funding. The City’s Program year is January through December 2017. CDBG funding is normally distributed as follows: 65% to eligible housing and non-housing projects, up to 15% to public service projects/programs and 20% to administrative and operating costs. HOME funds are distributed at 75% eligible housing projects, 10% administrative and operating costs and 15% set aside to eligible Community Housing Development Organizations for housing projects.
